Darlene comes from a family with a long rich history as Traditional Dancers, Regalia makers, and Traditional knowledge Holders, She is always committed to uplifting and sharing her culture with the community. Her roots are in Saddle Lake First Nation, but she now calls Edmonton her home.

Darlene recieved her nick name Lightning Fingers for her expertise and speed in creating Beaded Medalions.
