Linda Wright is of Gwich’in decent, originally from Inuvik, Northwest Territories and comes from a family of artists. She has been expressing herself artistically since childhood, surrounded by the beauty of nature, growing up in the north was her initial inspiration.
Many of her ideas represent her dreams, culture, land, vision, and reality. Through her art, she intends to develop a sense of appreciation for Canada’s north and provide an insight into Gwich’in oral storytelling traditions. She uses curvilinear lines and vibrant colors to create unique northern landscapes.
