Kate Mosley – bopandbead

I’m a Metis woman hailing from all over Alberta and Saskatchewan. I found beading just as a hobby at the beginning of the pandemic after I lost my job and it has since become my side-gig while I attend university to become a psychologist. Beading isn’t just a source of income for me but it acts as a therapy at the same time. Getting into a flow while beading helps me sort my thoughts, bead by bead. I like to create beadwork in playful colour combinations that inspire a sense of cheer and joy when you look at it. The world is heavy for so many of us, and putting on a pair of bright beaded earrings is a way of reclaiming our happiness and spreading it in the community.
