Tyla Tootoosis of Sakihitowin Bannock and Crafts

Tyla Tootoosis is the youngest child of IAM Collective member Charlene Tootoosis of Sakihitowin Bannock and Crafts.

Tyla has been a member of IAM Collective since our start in 2018, when she came to dance at our annual National Indigenous Peoples Celebration. Tyla is an accomplished Pow Wow Dancer, who is skilled in Women’s Fancy. Women’s Jingle, and her favorite Womens Traditional. She is also an experienced model, having worked in several fashion shows here in Alberta & Saskatchewan. Tyla has literally been dancing since her little feet could touch the ground. Her mother is a highly skilled regailia designer and dancer, and pow wow is deep in tyla’s family roots.

Tyla recently has her original art shown at a local gallery and we are excited to see her future as a visual artist.

Tyla is an Indigenous youth who understands the call to give back to her community, she instlls this on our other youth members, and shares it in the workshops she facilitates.
